Google announces scholarship program to teach 1.3 lakh Indian developers in emerging technologies

Google India has announced 130K scholarships for Programmers and students in the united states, keeping up the promise that Google CEO Sundar Pichai made back in 2015 to train 2 Million New Android Developers in India in the next 3 years. Google India provides collaborated with online education business Pluralsight and educational corporation Udacity to help train 1.3 Lakh programmers and learners across India and generate technically-advanced workforce in India that matches the pace of the Global Village.

As statement


released by Google India on Thursday reads, “Today, we are taking a big step forward by partnering with Pluralsight and Udacity for a new scholarship program that will help 130K developers and students across India to gain the skills they need to be successful in the changing technology landscape.”

Further adding “At Google, we have consistently committed to helping the developer and Startup community to get easy access to all the most recent technology that’s shaping the world today. And within the last few years, we’ve broadened our efforts in India by heading beyond professional developers and Startups to concentrating on student community aswell.”

What’s In It for Students & Developers
Google India is certainly facilitating 100 Thousand (1 Lakh) Scholarships on Pluralsight and 30 Thousand Scholarships about Udacity for the meritorious candidates supporting them gain advanced insight into areas like Artificial Cleverness, Machine Learning, Web and mobile development, Cloud and ar/vr Platforms. From the 30K scholarships at Udacity, top applicants shall be selected for 1K full Nano-degree scholarships too.

Ishan Gupta, Managing Director, Udacity India, explained, “The Scholarship program would have two phases. The first phase could have free usage of our courses in mobile and web advancement along with mentorship and community support. The very best 1000 students earn yet another 6-month scholarship to your Web and Mobile Programmer Nanodegree programs, which include mentorship, community support, and expert project reviews.”\

Work In Progress
The Global Tech-Giant has already been engaged with students in the united states and over 2 Lakh students have previously completed Google-Developed courses on Udacity even though over 1 Lakh college students are engaged on Pluralsight.
